NIM graduates celebrate adaptability and academic excellence
NIM is excited to gather this October to recognize the outstanding academic achievements of our students. The ceremony was graced by Mr Kang Kai, the Education Counsellor from China Embassy; Mr Lee Hong Chuang, the Chairperson of Hougang SMC; and Dr Poa Chun Seong, the Principal of Elite International College.
很高兴于今年10月我们能相聚一堂，表彰我们的学生获得的杰出学术成就。毕业典礼仪式由中国大使馆教育参赞Kang Kai先生、Hougang SMC主席Lee Hong Chuang先生、以及精英国际学院院长Poa Chun Seong先生特约出席。
NIM CEO’s speech
In the graduation opening speech, NIM CEO Zhang Xu Wei addressed the students and reminded the graduates that “education is about growth and not solely on grades”. He urged all graduates to take life challenges and obstacles in stride and make a beautiful story out of their life ahead.
在毕业典礼开幕上，NIM 行政总监Zhang Xu Wei先生向学生们致辞，并激励毕业生们：“教育关乎成长，而不仅仅是成绩”。他敦促所有毕业生从容面对生活中的挑战和障碍，为未来生活续写更美好的故事。
Mr Lee Hong Chuang’s speech (Chairperson of Hougang SMC)
Mr Lee Hong Chuang complimented the graduates on their unwavering attitudes as they juggled their education in the midst of the pandemic complications. He added that learning is a lifelong journey and students should constantly hone their skills and upgrade their knowledge. Furthermore, he wished that the graduates’ success would not only encompass their individual achievements but also include the society, community, and even the nation’s success.
Lee Hong Chuang先生称赞毕业生们在复杂情况下，在教育方面始终表现出坚定不移的态度。他补充到，学习是一个终生的旅程，学生应该不断地磨练自己的技能，提升自己的知识。此外，他希望毕业生的成功不仅包括他们个人的成就，还包括社会、社区甚至国家的成功。
Mr Poa Chun Seong’s speech (Principal of Elite International College)
Addressing all graduates from NIM that afternoon, Mr Poa Chun Seong congratulated the graduates for their achievements thus far. He further emphasized that the graduates could leverage on their education achievements for greater pursuits.
Poa Chun Seong先生也向所有NIM毕业生致辞，祝贺他们取得的成就。他进一步强调，毕业生们可以利用他们的教育成就来追求更大的目标。
Mr Kang Kai’s speech (Education Counsellor from China Embassy)
Mr Kang Kai noted on NIM’s expansion plans and wishes to witness the school and graduates’ success decades later. He also assured that China and Singapore’s relationship will get better and together both countries would join hands to make new and greater contributions to mankind.
Throughout their time at NIM, students have been nurtured with a curated curriculum that encouraged them to think critically and learn by doing. In true NIM spirit, our graduates have exemplified excellence in their respective disciplines and have gracefully adapted to the challenges of the global pandemic, and would hence set forth to continue their exceptional work on a global stage.
